Yoga to Prevent Hiking Injuries

Have you ever been on the trail and gotten injured?  Did you know that by performing stretching exercises before you hit the trail, you could decrease the risk of injury?  One of those great exercise programs includes Yoga.  Yoga is quickly becoming more popular than ever.  Stretching out your muscles before hiking, backpacking or other walking or running activities can help keep you safe.  Yoga helps your flexibility.  By being more flexible, muscles aren’t stretched, strained or torn while on the hiking trail.  Here is a great video that shows a few stretching methods to help reduce the risk of injury.

So, before you go out on your next hike, make sure to stretch using Yoga. Don’t be intimidated, Yoga doesn’t have to be hard or laborious.
